The purpose of this belief statement is to provide a personal, introductory overview to you, the reader, to my belief system and worldview. Please note this list has been truncated for the sake of brevity and is not necessarily comprehensive. This list of beliefs is not intended, nor should be malaligned for any other purpose…
1. I believe the Bible is God-breathed and divinely inspired, without error, and trustworthy as only our authority for faith, life and conduct. [2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:19-21]
2. I believe there is only one God who is our creator and has always existed yet reveals himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. [Deut 6:4; Matt 3:16-17; Matt 28:19]
3. I believe Jesus is the Son of God. He is both Lord and Christ who existed before the world began, made all things, was born of a virgin birth in flesh and blood as a human being, lived a sinless life and pleased God in every way, performed many miracles, was crucified sacrificially for the sins of the world, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven and will personally return to earth in power and glory. I believe Jesus died for me and his death was a sacrifice that was completely acceptable unto God for the forgiveness of sins for all of mankind. [Isa 53:10-12; John 1:1-3; John 3:16; Rom 3:24-28, Rom 5:8-10; Phil 2:6-11; Col 1:15-17; Heb 1:1-3; 2 Thes 1:7-10; 1 Pet 2:24-25; 1 John 2:1-2]
4. I believe God created Man in his image as the crown of his creation, originally innocent of sin with the complete freedom and capability of free will, yet with this ability to chose, he chose to disobey God and sinned, resulting in death coming to all mankind, both physically and spiritually, such that all humans are born in sin, separated from God, totally depraved and incapable of obtaining within our own strength, knowledge, or religion the holiness of God. [Gen 1:26-27; Gen 3:6-19; Psa 51:5; Rom 3:10-23; Eph 2:1]
5. I believe that all mankind must be saved by being born-again by regeneration by the Holy Spirit through personal faith in Jesus Christ and the impossibility of salvation through individual works or religious merits. [John 3:5-6; John 1:13; Acts 2:38-47; Rom 3:9; Rom 3:19-23; Rom 10:9-13; Gal 3:22; Gal 6:15; Eph 2:1; Tit 3:5; Jam 1:18; 1 Pet 1:3; 1 Pet 1:23-25; 1 John 1:8-10; 1 John 2:29; 1 John 3:9; 1 John 5:1; 1 John 5:18]
6. I believe the Holy Spirit comes to live in the heart of every believer and provides the power to walk in faith, overcome the power of sin and provide eternal security and assurance on the basis of the finished work of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. [Luke 2:26; John 14:26; John 16:14; Acts 21:11; Rom 8:9-11; 1 Cor 2:10,13; 1 Cor 3:16; 2 Cor 13:5; Eph 1:13-14; Eph 4:30; Rom 8:29-39; 1 John 5:11-12; Phi 2:13]
7. I believe that all believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ make up his church, comprised of both visible congregations of professing believers and the invisible collective whole defined by the scriptures as the body of Christ. [Eph 1:18-23; Eph 4:4-6; 1 Cor 12:12; Rev 21:2-9]
8. I believe that the church is commanded to evangelize the world, make disciples and demonstrate the love of Christ through our love for one another until Christ physical returns for the church, as a groom receiving his bride. [Matt 28:19-20; John 13:34-35; John 15:12, 17; Eph 4:11-16; 2 Tim 2:2]
9. I believe that all mankind will be physically resurrected: the saved unto everlasting life with a conscious, indescribable joy and the lost unto everlasting death, separated from God in conscious, indescribable weeping and torment. [Luke 16:19-31; 1 Cor 15:1-50; 1 Thes 4:13-18; Rev 20:11-15]
10. I believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for his church, with the sober understanding and commitment to persevere in the faith, productively serving the Lord unto death. [1 Thes 1:9-10, 1 Thes 4:13-18; 2 Thes 2:1-8; Heb 12:1-4; 2 Tim 4:7-8]

Thanks James. The credit goes to my Pastor. He has walked the path before me to establish a model of holiness and integrity. I can only hope to be like him in my efforts. [ref Matt 10:24-25]
